Another "GAY" Story.....of HERO'S

Ok, we all have heard about the terrible shooting spree in Norway that killed so many people... in fact, it is a crime so heinous that it brings tears to my eyes. But, today, I read a story that I just had to write about... Apparently, two extraordinary women, Hege Dalen and Toril Hansen, helped rescue 40 victims in the shooting... heroes in my eyes... AND they are MARRIED LESBIANS!

HOLD THE PHONE!!! LESBIANS SAVED PEOPLE!!! OH MY GOSH!!! WOW, BY GOLLY!!!!

I hope you can tell that I am being terribly sarcastic... I would like to reiterate, that I have absolutely nothing against gay, lesbian or transgender people, but.... to base a story on the sexual preference of two people that helped save lives in such a horrific story seems to be misplaced. The headline read:

"Western press largely overlooks heroism of lesbian couple in Norway massacre" by Laura Rozen

So, these women should be commended because they are GAY? Or because they helped save people in need. This is what is so wrong with the world today, people are given priority for who they are instead of what they do... what about the people that helped these two women, why haven't we heard about them? Why, you ask... maybe cuz they are NOT gay, and we all know, that no news is no gay news...

But, I would like to say, that I thank these two BRAVE women for saving the lives of so many....

Putin on the show!

Ok, so I was reading some stories on yahoo today, and one in particular caught my eye... "

Putin says U.S. is "parasite" on global economy (Rueters)

"Parasite" is the word he used for the US??? Like one of those things that leach off bigger things, I thougt we WERE the biggest thing.. Putin goes on and says "They are living beyond their means and shifting a part of their problems to the world economy". WHAT??? If we are so important to the economy, then why are we in such bad shape? It isn't like Russia didn't have any problems. Didn't they sell warheads to the Middle East to make some money??? Well, the US won't do that... at least I hope so.
I tell ya, maybe if the US would stick our noses in our own business instead of the fowl ridden stench of the worlds poo poo diapers, we may end up smelling the flowers on a warm spring day.
One of the comments said it best,
"Everyday on my way to work, I drive by an old closed steel mill and wonder why in the hell we are importing steel from China. My area used to be a potential nuclear target because of the steel making capabilities. Now we're not even worthy of a nuke warhead." Thank you Buckley's Angel for your input. I question this too, why are we not producing more? This would solve two GINORMOUS problems, 1. it would create a crapload of jobs, and 2. we wouldn't have to rely on other countries to make cheap schlock! This is a win win for the US.
So, *insert Putin Joke* PUTIN THAT UP YOUR CAKE HOLE!

Gay Marriage.... what's all the BUZZ!

OK, so the new buzz is about Gay marriage... I personally don't have an opinion about it, but, I do find it comical that this is HUGE news... I mean, it is nice that a couple of old ladies can get to marry each other after years of companionship... but is it really news? Everywhere you look, there is a gay marriage story sprouting about on the Internet, well, I guess I am just bored of it.

Since voting season is inching its way closer, now our fearless leaders (and I say that loosely) are getting on board. "I am for gay marriage" says one, "I am against gay marriage" says another... BLAH BLAH BLAH! C'mon people, the economics stink like a rotting hairball in a charcoal pit and we are worrying about GAY MARRIAGE? Is it that we are just prone to realty TV that we want it to be part of every aspect of our already sorry lives? Geesh...

Monkey See, Monkey DO!

Ok, so here is my blog.... I figure if everyone and their mother can write one, then so can I! So here we go.... I don't really know what to write on my first post, but I am sure my second will be DINO MITE!

I hope to post some quarky things on here in my adventures of living on this earth. There will be tears, hopefully from laughing and not crying, but I figure anything is possible. There are so many interests that I have, so this blog will change more than my hair color. Ok, so it looks like the time clock at work is going to ring, and I AM OUTA HERE!

Be back to write more, I promise....
